RIFI through the PPAS project produces science instructional materials. For these materials to be efficiently and effectively used, RIFI-STI trains science teachers on how best they can use them to conduct practical and learner-centered lessons.
Our team of experienced trainers builds the capacity of science teachers in using practical and relevant methodologies, creative and fun teaching, and a “hands-on” approach that stimulates learners’ creativity. The training is conducted through workshops, continued in-service training, and seminars. During training, teachers are guided on how to use the available materials to engage students in the teaching and learning process. Together with NCDC and UNEB, RIFI-STI retools and mentors teachers on the use of practical hands-on activities and projects in the teaching/learning of science.
